The TCC-International Centre for Innovation, Manufacturing, Technology Transfer and Entrepreneurship (TCC-CIMET), in collaboration with its German partners, has organized a two-day workshop for professionals from entrepreneurship, education, research, construction, and engineering to strengthen technical capacity, encourage cross-sector collaboration, and provide practical tools for improving quality management systems within organizations.

The workshop created a collaborative and intellectually engaging environment where participants exchanged perspectives, examined challenges, and explored forward-looking approaches to quality management. Discussions throughout the programme highlighted the need for quality management systems that are responsive to local realities rather than relying solely on imported frameworks.

Participants openly discussed key challenges affecting quality management implementation in Ghana, including cost pressures, communication gaps, inadequate supervision, cultural resistance, and weak regulatory enforcement.

Lead Facilitator and Quality Management expert, Mrs. Matilda Freda Marful, said “that addressing these challenges requires practical and context-driven solutions that are sustainable over the long term.”

The training provided participants with practical skills through hands-on exercises in value stream mapping, process flow mapping, and the Turtle Diagram, equipping them with tools for process optimization and risk management.

Mrs. Matilda Freda Marful expressed optimism about the momentum generated by the workshop, emphasizing the importance of continued dialogue, peer learning, and professional development in embedding quality management as a key driver of organizational excellence across Ghana and the wider African continent.

The International Quality Management for Executives workshop has been described as a timely and impactful contribution to the ongoing conversation on quality management within Ghana’s industrial and institutional landscape.

The training also underscores TCC-CIMET’s leadership in promoting Quality Management Systems – QMS, Standardization and highlights its role in developing a new generation of resilient, high-performing professionals across Ghana and the African continent.
