TTPU Welcomes 2025 Batch of Interns
The Technology Transfer Production Unit (TTPU) has officially welcomed the 2025 batch of interns with a comprehensive orientation program designed to prepare them for the journey ahead.
The session introduced interns to TTPU’s mission, facilities, and operations, while highlighting the Unit’s unique role as a bridge between academia and industry.
Mr. Donald Amrago, Acting Manager of TTPU, emphasized the importance of discipline, safety, and hands-on learning. He reminded the interns that classroom theory must be sharpened through practical experience.
“This is your opportunity to connect with industry and expand your skill set,” he encouraged.
Mr. Kenneth Donkor, Fellow at the TCC International Centre for Innovation, Manufacturing, Technology Transfer, and Entrepreneurship (TCC–CIMET), also shared insights on the value of early exposure to industry for building confidence and practical expertise.
One of the interns, Michael Apenteng (Level 200, Mechanical Engineering, KNUST), expressed his motivation:
“I am here to gain practical experience in design, manufacturing, and production… My goal is to strengthen my skills and prepare to take on real projects with confidence.”
Located in the heart of Suame Magazine, TTPU continues to serve as TCC–CIMET’s fabrication and production hub, transforming classroom theories into practical solutions that drive industrial growth.
We wish the 2025 batch of interns a productive and impactful internship journey!
