Interns Engage with TCC Fellows Ahead of Cookstove Lab Internship
As part of their orientation, the 2025 batch of interns had the opportunity to meet and interact with TCC Fellows, introducing themselves and sharing their academic backgrounds and research interests. The session provided valuable insight into their motivations for joining TCC’s Cookstove Lab (C-Lab) and their eagerness to translate classroom concepts into practical applications.
Many interns expressed a keen interest in standard cookstove testing, a key aspect of clean cooking energy research, highlighting areas where they hope to contribute during their internship. Core focus areas include:
-
Performance evaluation
-
Emissions measurement
-
User-centered design for clean cooking solutions
The discussions underscored the interns’ enthusiasm and potential for impactful learning, setting the stage for hands-on engagement in advancing clean energy technologies.
The interns were warmly welcomed by Mr. Kenneth Donkor, Head of the C-Lab, who guided them through the lab’s operations and activities. The session provided a practical introduction to the lab environment, ensuring interns are well-prepared for meaningful engagement throughout their internship.
TCC looks forward to seeing the interns apply their skills and curiosity to contribute to clean cooking research and innovation.
